Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment to produce survey drawings, designs, charts, forms, and records to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
Transform raw data from survey crews into final maps and plans using computer aided drafting and design CADD.
Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets, and other data.
Review surveys and survey computation.
Prepare all types of surveying plats and drawings utilizing research and the information gathered in the field.
Produce architectural documentation.
Produce graphics materials and images for client presentations.
Draft site layouts, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD.
Work with topographical surveys, site plan development in AutoCAD, printing plan sets, delivery of plans and documents, assist in obtaining permits.
Document existing field conditions.
Assist with preparation of schedules and applications for filings.
Our requirements: Bachelor Degree in architecture, engineering or urban design (or equivalent) + 6 months of job experience.
Clean and care for survey equipment
Place sight rods, targets, and tripod reflectors on survey points
Give line with plum bob, target, and EDM staff reflector if necessary
Drive stakes and markers
Dig for buried monuments and markers
Use hand tools such as sledge, Kaiser blade, shovel, etc.
Carry and use level rod, range pole, sighting pole and prism for obtaining required survey data
Set up safety equipment and flag traffic when necessary
Traverse rugged terrain, fences, bluffs, brush and timber, creeks and streams, etc.
Carry sign posts, reinforcing bars and other materials
Train in the operation of survey instruments, automated electronic data collection, calculators and GPS equipment
